The annual Future Vet Kids Camp held in January may already be sold out but the good news is April camps have been announced with registration due to open soon.
Future Vet Kids Camp is a veterinary-inspired school holiday program in Sydney catering to kids aged nine to 16 years that promotes responsible pet ownership, veterinary medicine and love and appreciation of all animals and their habitats.
“The program offers many extraordinary experiences that inspire kids to come back for more,” said camp director and veterinarian Dr Scott Bainbridge, who appears on Animal Planet Canada’s TV show Dog’s Best Friend.
Campers attend blood draw and suture workshops, vet hospital excursions and veterinary talks, plus learn about dog training and behaviour, solve real-life veterinary cases, handle animals of all shapes and sizes, and more.
Pet insurance provider PetSure sponsors the camp each year and recently donated scholarships to three young pet lovers from NSW.
Alahna Dimmock (age 13), Ava Schroeder (age 11) and Isabelle Trippe (age 10) are recipients of the 2020 PetSure Scholarship to attend Future Vet Kids Camp in Sydney in January for free and learn about what it takes to be a vet.
