Our marketing team work closely with our clinic teams to provide ongoing support for every type of event throughout the year. Here is a quick snapshot of some highlights, as well as a few things we’ve learned along the way.
Local community pet events
Our Greencross Vets clinic teams are extremely passionate about connecting with their local community and regularly attend local markets as well as Dogs in the Park events. To help our clinic teams, we provide an event toolkit which has everything they could need from a branded gazebo, tablecloth, banners, flyers, prize wheel and giveaways. An important aspect is ensuring that all merchandise giveaways are selected carefully to ensure they are not only sustainable, but also pet safe, plastic-free and useful for our clients. We’ve found that the most popular giveaways include dog leads, pet bowls, cat wand toys and bandanas. A great way to spark a conversation with clients is through fun activations and family-friendly games such as using X-ray images for a ‘guess the animal’ competition or the favourite ‘guess the number of lollies in the jar’.
Giving back to the community
Since it began in 2014, The Petbarn Foundation has donated millions of vital funds to support charities helping people and pets in need. Greencross Vets has partnered with the RSPCA, the Petbarn Foundation and local community organisations to roll out free vaccination days across NSW. Our teams really enjoy volunteering for initiatives like these as they’re not only rewarding for both vets and nurses but also the pet parents. Community programs are the most successful when done on a regular basis and in partnership with organisations like the RSPCA, so we are not only reaching the people in need of support but also providing a valuable service.
National vet conferences
As well as hosting events, it’s important for our team members to be given the opportunity to also attend them so they continue learning while having some fun along the way! It’s been wonderful to connect with friends and colleagues (face to face – finally!) at the vet conferences this year where we were excited to launch our new look as The Greencross Pet Wellness Company. The not-to-be-missed vet event of the year
One benefit of a career in The Greencross Pet Wellness network is the once-a-year vet conference in a luxurious holiday destination which includes flights and accommodation. Every year we bring together over 1,500 vets, nurses, practice managers and suppliers from across the country for our annual Symposium. Across two days, you’ll get the best CE – six streams, amazing speakers, social functions and more.
