Keeping up with new developments in veterinary medicine is a challenge for busy clinic teams. The Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health Academy (AHA) is designed to help veterinarians, veterinary nurses, practice managers and clinic support staff stay informed and up to date, while also supporting their continuing education needs. The platform provides access to clinical resources, technical product information, and accredited learning modules – all via a mobile-friendly, easy-to-navigate interface.
Continuing Education
We run regular, complimentary online events for both veterinarians and veterinary nurses. Vets can earn structured CE points, while nurses can earn AVNAT points. Attending live allows participants to engage directly with the presenter and ask questions in real time. Can’t make it or stuck late at work? No problem, our webinars are recorded and made available on-demand for viewing at your convenience.
Animal Health Academy also hosts an extensive library of on-demand CE, including over 60 hours of on-demand webinars, covering both clinical and non-clinical topics, as well as a wide variety of short videos and technical documents.
Technical Hubs
Our Technical Hubs provide in-depth disease state and technical product information across a range of therapeutic areas. We’ve recently launched the Diabetes Hub, a resource centre on the management of diabetes mellitus in dogs and cats. This is to support the launch of Senvelgo®, the revolutionary new once-daily oral treatment for non-insulin dependent diabetes in cats, as well as ProZinc®, a long-acting insulin for cats and dogs, offering the convenience of once-daily dosing in most dogs. We also have technical hubs with extensive resources covering renal disease, hypertension, cardiology and epilepsy.
Expert Guidelines
Animal Health Academy is home to a growing library of clinical guidelines developed by Boehringer Ingelheim in collaboration with local experts. Highlights include the feline leukaemia virus (FeLV) and feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) editions of the Australian Feline Retrovirus Management Guidelines, the updated Tick Paralysis of Dogs and Cats Guidelines, and the Feline Hypertension Guidelines.
Pain Management Program
To enhance pain management practices in your clinic, Boehringer Ingelheim has proudly partnered with the Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia Chapter of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) to develop a series of educational modules. The program consists of seven interactive modules covering the pathophysiology, assessment, and management of pain in both dogs and cats. Complete all seven modules and earn 3½ hours of structured CE.
Puppy School Trainer Masterclass
Learn how to run a gold-standard puppy school! This AVNAT accredited program provides training in canine behaviour, preventative care and nutrition, and includes curriculum templates and practical tools and tips for setting up and running puppy classes. What’s more, complete the program and receive a complimentary Graduation Pack for your clinic! Whether you are running a puppy school in your clinic or not, this program is a valuable educational resource for all staff members.
