This gel is a supplement that treats joint disease, helps overcoming stiffness, and reduces pain. The dosage is based on the weight of the dog and it can be added to food or given directly to the animal.

What’s good about it

This gel is an effective treatment. I’ve seen dogs improve so much, it’s like they’re young again. It helps maintain healthy cartilage development while also maintaining a normal inflammatory response. You can see an improvement in as little as a week.

It’s an over-the-counter product but we recommend a vet check the dog prior to it being dispensed. When a dog has injured a joint, is recovering from a particular operation or is currently on prescription joint treatments, Epiitalis Forte can really aid recovery.

It’s made from all natural ingredients, including epiitalis seed oil, soybean oil and a rosemary extract. A creamy flavouring has been added to make it palatable for dogs. Initially, the dog should receive a higher loading dose that is then reduced to a maintenance dose. It comes with a big syringe that makes it easy to put straight in a dog’s mouth.

When larger breeds are on arthritis treatments, it’s sometimes possible to wean them off prescription pain meds by using Epiitalis Forte. The nice thing is that there are no issues with long-term use.

What’s not so good

The product claims it doesn’t contradict other medications but it’s a good idea to double-check with a vet if the dog is on prescription medications.

Where did you get it
