This unit is a powerful, non-invasive therapeutic laser. It has a multitude of uses including wound healing and nerve regeneration. It also has a wide range of anti-inflammatory applications.
What’s good about it
Laser has revolutionised our therapeutic approach to the many conditions that have an inflammatory pathogenesis. This laser is brilliant in cases where anti-inflammatory drugs are not an option. We have seen some spectacular results with lick granulomas, something I’ve found tricky to manage in the past. I’ve also used it to manage cruciate disease in small dogs, to excellent effect.
This machine is incredibly easy to use with all the calculations done for you. There is also a capacity to save favourite treatments which saves time. It’s supplied with non-contact, full-contact and surgical attachments that are quick and easy to interchange.
The package comes with the necessary safety glasses for humans and safety goggles for patients. We purchased the battery option, which I would strongly recommend. It is handy if doing house calls or the practice experiences a power outage.
This unit is excellent value for money, being significantly cheaper than other brands of equivalent potency. The after-sales service is brilliant. Vets1Laser is owned by veterinarians who are happy to discuss cases as well as technical aspects of the machine. They are always available to assist when required.
What’s not so good
Any Class 4 laser machine has intricate electronic componentry, so a surge protector is highly recommended.
