Virtual online Future Vet Kids Camp set to go viral during the winter school holidays

Virtual Online Vet Camp

Australia’s favourite veterinary-inspired school holiday program Future Vet Kids Camp is set to go viral with its Virtual Online Vet Camp during the winter school holidays, giving kids anywhere in Australia and around the world a chance to participate.

Having started in Sydney about 12 years ago, the five-day program is designed and run by veterinarians and led by vet twin sisters Drs Audrey and Alison Shen from the Bondi Vet TV show and Aussie Mobile Vet

The program caters to kids aged nine to 16 years and encourages responsible pet ownership, promotes the profession of veterinary medicine, and fosters a love and appreciation of all animals and their habitats.

The Virtual Online Vet Camp (26 June – 8 July) will run concurrently with the face-to-face camp in Brisbane QLD (27 June – 1 July & 4 – 8 July 2022), allowing aspiring young vets to join the classroom virtually from anywhere around the world, and participate with questions in real time.

“The course walks the campers through virtual tours of veterinary hospitals, specialist centres, zoos and reptile parks, as well as interviews with some of the most exciting animal professionals who have dedicated their career to animals,” Dr Audrey said.

“Campers will learn about genetic diseases, pet nutrition, dog behaviour and enrichment, exotic animals, surgery, animal rescue, wildlife conservation and much more,” Dr Alison added.

Campers will hear from a range of Aussie presenters including surgical, wildlife and exotic pet vets; vet professionals working with animal rescue groups, veterinary specialists, snake catchers, mobile vets and more.

Future Vet Kids Camp is also generously offering to fund the registration fees for two face-to-face campers and two Virtual Online Vet campers. Face-to-face camp is valued at $595 and Virtual Online Vet Camp is valued at $240. Deadline Friday, 17 June.
